Mr. Administrator, Mr. President,

Thank you for your briefing and updates.

UNDP's Midterm review process is important to ensure that UNDP continues to deliver impactful results in constructive cooperation with all UN partners under the lead of Resident Coordinators.

It is thus appreciated that you have identified a number of challenges and acknowledged the need for certain adjustments.

One of these areas is with respect to climate where you will accelerate efforts through the recently launched Climate Promise 2025.

Denmark is particularly pleased with our joint collaboration on the climate-development nexus and our funding for UNDP’s thematic funding window for climate.

As part of this collaboration, UNDP is preparing a report on the good business case for integrating climate and development which will serve as important and evidence-based documentation in the run up to the Summit of the Future and COP29.

This is essential in the context of preparing the next generation of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).

We find it important that the next generation of NDCs are action-oriented and aligned with Integrated National Financing Frameworks (INFFs).

Finally, even though it is early days, Denmark looks forward to work closely with UNDP in the process of preparing UNDP’s new strategic plan 2026-2029 to be presented and discussed latest at the annual session next year.

Based on this new strategy, DK plans to prepare a new multiyear commitment from 2026 as part of our continued commitment to the United Nations Development System.

Thank you.
