The 2021-2025 sets clear objectives and presents concrete courses of actions in order to make Danish development cooperation impactful in line with the vision of a more secure and sustainable world free from poverty.

The foundation of Denmark’s development cooperation is anchored in democratic values and human rights. In particular with regards to promoting and protecting the rights of girls and women along with vulnerable and marginalised groups.

Furthermore, the strategy confirms that Denmark will continue to meet the UN target of providing 0.7 per cent of GNI in official development assistance.
