72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly

The 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly will open, Tuesday, September 12, 2017, followed by the opening of General Debate on September 19. Heads of State and Government from all over the world come to New York to participate in the opening of the General Assembly, high-level meetings and other side events during the ministerial week.

This year, the theme of the General Debate is ‘Focusing on People: Striving for Peace and a Decent Life for All on a Sustainable Planet’.
